Russian retailers have officially announced the prices for the latest Apple smartwatch models and wireless earbuds. Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 12 start at 54,999 rubles, while the Apple Watch Ultra 4 is priced from 109,999 rubles. The new AirPods 5 can be reserved for 18,999 rubles.
The Apple Watch Series 12 is available in different sizes, with the 42mm model starting at 54,999 rubles and the 46mm version beginning at 59,999 rubles. These smartwatches come equipped with an upgraded Health Sensing System and the new S11 processor. One of the standout features is the Readiness function, which evaluates the user's readiness for physical activity based on health metrics and sleep quality. The battery life extends up to 24 hours, with a quick 15-minute charge providing an additional 12 hours of use.
Notably, the new watches are available in aluminum, titanium, and, for the first time, ceramic casings, featuring enhanced durability with Ceramic Shield 2 glass, which is claimed to be 60% stronger than the previous Ion-X glass. New color options include dark bronze and light gold, with the ceramic versions available in pearl white and dark blue.
The flagship Apple Watch Ultra 4, characterized by a 49mm case, starts at 109,999 rubles and also runs on the S11 processor. It features improved step and distance tracking algorithms, as well as a new Steps function that displays the step count directly on the watch face. This model boasts an impressive battery life of up to 50 hours under normal usage and 84 hours in power-saving mode.
As for the AirPods 5, the base model is priced at 18,999 rubles, while the version with a wireless charging case costs 21,999 rubles. These earbuds benefit from a redesigned acoustic architecture, adaptive EQ, and an enhanced active noise cancellation system that reduces external noise by 50% compared to the previous generation. They also support an "Adaptive Audio" feature and allow users to respond to Siri with head gestures.
With the AirPods 5, users can swipe on the earbud stems to adjust volume, and the battery life can last up to five hours with active noise cancellation enabled, extending to 22 hours when combined with the charging case. The charging case supports USB-C and is compatible with Apple Watch chargers and Qi standards.
The launch of these new products at competitive prices could challenge other brands in the wearable technology market, highlighting Apple's commitment to innovation and customer engagement. As the competition intensifies, it will be interesting to see how other companies respond to these developments.
