Steinberger anticipates that these agents could take over 80% of conventional applications, arguing that there will be a single interface rather than multiple ones.
In Silicon Valley, Steinberger's talents sparked considerable interest, particularly from Mark Zuckerberg, who invited him to Meta and reportedly dedicated an entire week to testing OpenClaw personally. Zuckerberg described Steinberger as "eccentric, but brilliant." Additionally, there are rumors that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella reached out to him directly.
Steinberger's decision to join OpenAI was influenced by the opportunity to access exclusive, high-speed computing resources—an advantage he likened to "Thor's Hammer." OpenAI has also committed to maintaining OpenClaw as an open-source initiative, which will be further developed under a non-profit foundation.
