Navicon Develops Smart AI Chatbot for Astrum Entertainment

Navicon has successfully developed and implemented an intelligent AI chatbot for Astrum Entertainment, a prominent Russian video game developer and publisher. This innovative solution is designed to significantly expedite the search for workplace information for employees while reducing the burden on internal support and HR services.

Astrum Entertainment is renowned for its expertise in various facets of game development, publishing, and promotion, drawing upon a vast internal knowledge base that consists of over 100,000 articles. The challenge for Navicon was to streamline the process through which employees could access information based on diverse queries using artificial intelligence technologies.

As part of the project, Navicon's experts created an AI chatbot capable of searching for and answering questions related to the knowledge base hosted on Confluence. The AI model was integrated into the customer's internal IT infrastructure and conveniently embedded within the corporate interface of the Yandex Messenger platform, enabling seamless interaction for employees.

The project faced additional complexities due to the specific professional jargon used by the Astrum team and the requirement to navigate a substantial database. The resulting AI tool provides highly accurate and quality responses to user inquiries. Additionally, a unique approach was taken to integrate the chatbot with external data sources, including hybrid search capabilities and the incorporation of a role-based model in the bot's functionalities.

Completed within three months, the chatbot is now utilized by 450 employees across 14 departments at Astrum Entertainment. This advancement significantly enhances the efficiency of information retrieval across various teams, improves documentation management, and alleviates the workload on internal support and HR.

Anna Perepelkina, Head of AI Consulting at Navicon, emphasized the project's success was made possible by the close collaboration with the client's team, including a technical architect and infrastructure specialists, as well as business stakeholders from different knowledge areas. This teamwork enabled the creation of a product that aligns perfectly with Astrum Entertainment's needs.

Sergiy Shalenko, IT Director at Astrum Entertainment, highlighted the importance of leveraging cutting-edge technologies to make internal processes faster, simpler, and more efficient. He noted that the chatbot currently provides high-quality responses, and plans are underway to initiate further AI technology projects soon.

Looking ahead, both Navicon and Astrum Entertainment aim to expand and enhance the current version of the chatbot, signifying a commitment to ongoing innovation in the competitive gaming market.
