The world's inaugural Minecraft-themed amusement park is slated to debut in 2027 at the Chessington World of Adventures resort, located near London. This exciting venture is being developed by Mojang Studios, the creators of the popular game, in collaboration with Merlin Entertainments, known for their Legoland parks.
Visitors can look forward to a variety of attractions, including a roller coaster inspired by Minecraft, as well as numerous rides, playgrounds constructed from blocks, exclusive merchandise shops, and a café offering dishes straight from the Minecraft universe. Kayleen Walters, head of Mojang, expressed that a trip to this park will immerse guests in a "real Minecraft world," complete with the game's signature gravity, physics, and even the distinct scents of its biomes.
The park's design will focus on elements from the Minecraft game itself, rather than drawing inspiration from the recent movie adaptation. The total investment for this project is estimated to be around $70 million. Would you be interested in visiting Minecraft World?
