A significant portion of jobs reliant on computers may soon face automation, according to Mustafa Suleyman, the leader of Microsoft AI. He believes that artificial intelligence is poised to assume numerous responsibilities currently managed by professionals such as lawyers, accountants, project managers, and marketers, mirroring its emerging role in coding.
The anticipated transformation will extend beyond just white-collar occupations. Microsoft AI is also in the process of developing a medical diagnostic system that, as Suleyman predicts, could eventually provide diagnoses with greater accuracy and at a reduced cost compared to traditional medical teams. In such a scenario, physicians may shift their focus from routine diagnostics to enhancing patient care and providing emotional support.
Suleyman's forecasts are echoed by specialists at the World Economic Forum, who project that by the year 2030, as much as 92 million jobs could be at risk due to advancing technologies. On a brighter note, this evolution may lead to the creation of approximately 170 million new positions, as there will be a demand for individuals to develop, oversee, and manage AI technologies.
