Teboil has unveiled a new AI-powered chatbot designed to assist both motorists and business clients with inquiries regarding its extensive range of lubricants, which includes over 140 products. This innovative service, built on Yandex AI Studio's advanced technologies, operates around the clock, efficiently handling thousands of customer queries daily and providing quick access to accurate information about lubricant specifications and viscosity. The project is a collaboration with Yandex B2B Tech and its partner, Neoflex, and aims to enhance customer service quality and efficiency.

According to Alexander Chernikov, the Chief Operating Officer of Yandex Cloud, the Teboil project demonstrates how platform-based AI tools enable manufacturing companies specializing in complex products, like lubricants, to rapidly implement practical AI solutions. He emphasized that Yandex AI Studio facilitates standardized data management, yielding measurable business effects without significant development costs.

Roman Sorokin, head of the Artificial Intelligence department at Neoflex, noted that the focus of this initiative was not just on automating responses to common queries but also on creating a tool that provides in-depth technical consultations where the cost of errors is high.

The Teboil AI assistant autonomously processes customer requests by identifying the nature of the inquiry and generating relevant responses. It employs a generative model based on YandexGPT and utilizes the Retrieval Augmented Generation approach to ensure high accuracy in its responses. Currently, the chatbot covers three primary scenarios: answering frequently asked questions, suggesting lubricants based on specifications and viscosity, and providing access to technical documentation. Initial testing has shown an accuracy rate exceeding 90%, with plans to expand the range of topics and scenarios as the project evolves.

Users can interact with the chatbot through the Teboil website, where the AI agent determines if the inquiry fits a predefined scenario. If not, customers are given the option to connect with Teboil specialists. Continuous learning enables the assistant to update its knowledge regularly, improving the proportion of queries handled without specialist intervention.

Teboil representatives anticipate that the implementation of the AI agent will significantly enhance service speed and pave the way for the expansion into other business areas. This launch lays a technological foundation for the future development of AI services within the company. The introduction of this AI solution signals a shift in how the market approaches customer support in the lubricants industry, potentially reshaping competitive dynamics.
