OpenAI has announced its support for San Francisco-based startup Isara, which is focused on creating an "army of bots." This innovative initiative aims to develop software for artificial intelligence agents that can collaborate to forecast changes in geopolitics and the global economy.
At a recent conference hosted by Allen and Co. in Arizona, Isara showcased an early version of its software, demonstrating the functionality of approximately 2,000 AI agents tasked with predicting gold prices. Founded by 23-year-old AI researchers Eddie Zhang and Henry Gashtovt, Isara has attracted a team of researchers from renowned organizations including Google and OpenAI.
The startup has successfully raised $94 million from high-profile investors such as Michael Ovitz and Stanley Druckenmiller. According to Isara's representatives, OpenAI has valued the startup at $650 million.
This development comes shortly after OpenAI announced the closure of Sora, an application for generating AI-created videos. Sora was designed to allow users to create and share videos based on copyrighted content but was shut down following a surge in interest after its launch in the fall of 2025.
This backing from OpenAI signals a significant push into the AI predictive market, potentially raising the competitive stakes for other players in the technology sector.
