Meta has introduced its inaugural AI image creation tool, named Muse Image. This innovative model has achieved a remarkable second place on the arena.ai leaderboard, surpassing competitors such as Nano Banana 2, Reve 2.0, and MAI Image 2.5, with only GPT Image 2 achieving a higher rank. The team at Meta Superintelligence Labs describes Muse Image as the first agentic image model, boasting capabilities that allow it to search for information, references, and data online, as well as generate code for creating elements like charts or QR codes. Furthermore, Muse Image excels in precision and detail during image editing, ensuring that faces and intricate features are preserved, and allowing for the seamless integration of multiple objects or characters within a single image. Muse Image is now operational within Meta AI and is being integrated into Instagram Stories and WhatsApp. In addition, Meta has announced the upcoming launch of Muse Video, a video creation tool, with developer access expected to be available soon.
