The Digitec 2026 conference, a premier event focused on artificial intelligence, is set to take place from November 20 to 22 in Yerevan, Armenia. This year's theme, "World's New AI Hub," marks the 21st edition of the exhibition and conference, organized by the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE). The event will bring together executives from leading companies such as Nvidia, OpenAI, AWS, Dell, and Mozilla, as well as other key players in the AI sector, to discuss advancements across five levels of AI: energy, chips, computing, models, and applications.
Over the three-day event, attendees will hear from more than 100 speakers, including Ravi Leberedian, Vice President of AI Simulation at Nvidia; Romain Jourdan, Chief AI Technologist at AWS; and Adrian McDonald, President of Dell Technologies for the EMEA region. Notable figures such as Kailash Satyarthi, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and various government officials from the region will also participate, highlighting the diverse and influential lineup.
Armenia is rapidly building its infrastructure to support large-scale AI initiatives, with Firebird investing $4 billion to establish a cloud for AI based on Nvidia technology. By 2027, more than 70,000 Nvidia GPUs are expected to be operational within the country, forming part of a broader global project portfolio. Major international companies, including Nvidia, Microsoft, and Cisco, have already established engineering teams in Armenia, signaling the country's growing importance in the tech landscape.
The conference program will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and technical sessions from industry leaders, along with workshops from companies like Nvidia and OpenAI. A dedicated day, OpenTalks.AI, will focus on community discussions surrounding AI and machine learning. Additionally, the Digitec Expo will showcase leading tech companies and provide a platform for early-stage startups.
Tickets for the conference are available for early booking at 15,000 Armenian drams until October 30, after which the price will rise to 20,000 drams. Access to the exhibition is free with online registration.
With the convergence of top executives and innovative discussions, Digitec 2026 is poised to redefine Armenia's role as a burgeoning hub for AI technology, providing a competitive edge in the global market. This event is likely to attract significant attention from investors and competitors eager to capitalize on the advancements being made in the region.
