Ryan Leachman, who works in the oil and gas sector and has no prior programming experience, recently embarked on a project to create a music-learning application for his daughter. With the assistance of Claude Code, he was able to design a gamified app that pairs with an electronic piano. Named Little Maestro, the app recognizes key presses and showcases the notes being played. After users grasp the fundamentals, it transitions into a game reminiscent of "Guitar Hero," progressively increasing the difficulty of the songs. Leachman communicated bugs and tasks in straightforward language, allowing the AI model to refine the software into a functional application. After the project gained widespread attention online, he decided to offer the app for free while including a donation feature. Ryan pledged to use any funds raised to build a chicken coop, fulfilling a request from his daughter. Could he be a strong candidate for "Dad of the Year"? Definitely! With the help of AI, achieving such projects is now within reach for anyone.
