Dahua Technology showcased its latest advancements in renewable energy solutions under the theme "Visible AI in New Energy" at Intersolar Europe 2026. The company, a global leader in AIoT video technology solutions, demonstrated how its innovative technologies can enhance efficiency, reliability, and security across the energy sector value chain, from generation to consumption.
At this year's exhibition, Dahua presented a comprehensive portfolio of solutions across five key application areas: Intelligent Security, Equipment Inspection and Monitoring, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE-PPE) Management, EV Charging, and Smart Control Centre. These solutions aim to address the growing demand for smarter asset management, improved workplace safety, and enhanced operational efficiency in renewable energy infrastructure.
In the realm of Intelligent Security, Dahua introduced perimeter security solutions for solar power plants, integrating thermal imaging technology, radar collaboration, and three-lens camera monitoring. These systems, powered by proprietary thermal analysis algorithms, extend detection range by up to 85%. Notably, in a solar project in Brazil, the solution reduced false alarms generated by 204 devices from over 1,000 daily to approximately one false alarm per device per week. In Europe, Dahua's AI-based perimeter security solutions have already been implemented at a 60 MW solar power plant in Romania.
For Equipment Inspection and Monitoring, Dahua showcased intelligent solutions for monitoring substations and geographically distributed energy assets. Continuous monitoring of temperature and operational status enables early detection of potential anomalies, while automated inspection records and reports support predictive maintenance strategies, increasing operational efficiency while reducing manual checks.
Dahua also emphasized workplace safety with its HSE and PPE solutions, featuring both stationary and portable AI-based detection systems. These systems automatically verify that personnel entering high-risk areas are equipped with necessary protective gear, such as helmets and vests, generating real-time alerts for any violations and fostering a stronger safety culture on energy sites.
Additionally, the company unveiled a range of EV charging solutions, including AC chargers for home use and DC fast-charging stations for commercial applications. These solutions, supported by a cloud management platform and mobile application, allow users to monitor charging processes, schedule charging times, and manage charging infrastructure more flexibly.
Complementing these offerings, Dahua's Smart Control Centre integrates security, inspection, and operational management functions onto a single platform powered by DSS Professional. This platform supports remote video monitoring, alarm signal management, inspection task scheduling, and historical data analysis, providing operators with a centralized overview of all site processes. In Italy, Dahua’s thermal imaging perimeter solution, combined with the DSS Professional platform, enabled centralized management of remote solar power plants, eventually expanding to 80 facilities equipped with approximately 1,600 thermal cameras.
These innovations reflect Dahua's commitment to advancing the renewable energy sector through intelligent technologies and comprehensive asset protection over their entire lifecycle. The company intends to continue collaborating with partners worldwide to explore innovative AI applications that contribute to a safer, more efficient, and sustainable energy future.
This strong showcase at Intersolar Europe positions Dahua Technology as a frontrunner in the renewable energy market, potentially challenging competitors to enhance their own offerings in AI-driven energy solutions.
