ChatGPT Unveils Major Update with Interactive Features

OpenAI has launched a significant upgrade to ChatGPT, introducing a new mode known as Intelligent UI. This innovative feature allows the AI to provide not just text-based responses but also incorporates visual and interactive elements like graphs, charts, maps, buttons, forms, and mini-tools. The model can autonomously determine the most suitable format for its responses. For instance, comparisons can be displayed in tables, complex topics can be explained through interactive diagrams, and practical tasks can be addressed using ready-made tools. Demonstrations of the updated ChatGPT showcased its ability to generate object structure diagrams with interactive buttons, expense calculators with sliders, and maps allowing users to select specific items. This interactivity enables users to engage with the responses actively and adjust parameters as needed. OpenAI has also created a library of native components and a specialized compiler, facilitating gradual interface appearance during response generation. Importantly, the Intelligent UI will not be deployed automatically for every interaction; ChatGPT will continue to provide traditional text responses when appropriate. The global rollout of this upgrade began on October 7 for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, with the feature becoming available for Free and Go users starting October 8. Paid plans utilize the GPT-6 Sol model, while Free and Go users have access to the GPT-6 Luna variant. This update positions OpenAI to enhance user engagement and offer a more dynamic experience, setting a new standard in the AI market and challenging competitors to innovate.
